A look back at the Coups de coeur weekend with the Modigliani Quartet
On September 9 and 10, Les Coups de coeur in Chantilly welcomed the Modigliani Quartet. Here’s a look back at this exceptional first weekend!

The calm before the storm? the rehearsals in the dome and the tuning of the piano are moments suspended in this magnificent setting.
“The first autumn weekend of the “Coups de cœur de Chantilly” program is about to conclude with one delight after another. From Mozart’s First Piano Quartet (again in G minor), the Festival’s Artistic Director and his partners in the Modigliani Quartet offer a more detailed, denser vision than those usually heard on record, and we’re grateful for it. “(Bachtrack)
SUNDAY 10 SEPTEMBER 2023, LE MENESTREL
Sayaka Shoji Masterclass
SUNDAY 10 SEPTEMBER 2023, GALERIE DE PEINTURE
Quatuor Elmire, Hortense Furier, Quatuor Modigliani
“The warmth, ardor and unctuousness of the Modigliani’s sound place us from the very first notes at the heart of one of Mozart’s absolute masterpieces, of uncommon amplitude (over 35 minutes)” (Bachtrack)
SUNDAY 10 SEPTEMBER 2023, DÔME
Quatuor Modigliani, Iddo Bar-Shaï, Matthias Goerne, Laurène Durantel
“Matthias Goerne’s happiness is contagious, as is that of his partners. The baritone projects, as if from the depths of an organ, his recognizable bronze timbre, creating emotion on the very surface of the text. The Modigliani’s setting is miraculous in its tender poetry. (Bachtrack)
Les Coups de Coeur à Chantilly is placed under the patronage of Prince Amyn Aga Khan, whom we thank for his invaluable support since the early days of the festival.
We are also extremely honoured and grateful for the generous support of Madame Aline Foriel-Destezet.
Several private sponsors joined us this year, including the Fondation AG2R la Mondiale, Mr. and Mrs. Coatalem, Mr. and Mrs. Ferrier, and Mr. and Mrs. Sauvage, to whom we are most grateful.
