Les Siècles in Chantilly

14 and 15 September 2024

For our first weekend of the Autumn 2024 edition, Les Coups de Coeur à Chantilly are inviting the orchestra Les Siècles. A rich and majestic programme.

For this first weekend of our Autumn 2024edition , I’m delighted to welcome one of today’s greatest French orchestras: Les Siècles. Together we will be celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Anton Bruckner and paying tribute to Gabriel Fauré on the 100th anniversary of his death. This orchestra, which has a very special bond with our region, also has a very strong link with our festival, having performed at our first edition in May 2021. So it’s a real pleasure to welcome them back! It’s going to be a real celebration for all of us!”

Regular guests on the world’s greatest stages, Les Siècles are in residence at the Atelier Lyrique de Tourcoing, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, in the Aisne and in the Hauts-de-France region.

Les Siècles’ projects are regularly rewarded by French and international critics.

The Société Générale Foundation is the orchestra’s main sponsor.

Since 2010, the ensemble has been subsidised by the Ministry of Culture and the DRAC Hauts-de-France for a residency in the Hauts-de-France region. It receives regular support from the Centre National de la Musique and, since 2011, from the Conseil Départemental de l’Aisne to strengthen its artistic and educational presence in the region, notably at the Cité de la Musique in Soissons. Since 2018, the orchestra has received operating support from the Hauts-de-France Region.

The orchestra is an artist in residence at the Berlioz Festival in La Côte Saint-André, and an associate artist at the Théâtre du Beauvaisis and the Théâtre-Sénart.
