Martha Argerich’s Coups de Cœur at Chantilly

22, 23 and 24 September 2023

For this highly anticipated fall weekend, we will meet once again with a true piano icon, who has become a sort of ‘fairy godmother’ to the festival.

It is an honor to welcome MARTHA ARGERICH for a new series of concerts and events. With her deeply generous nature, and a temperament that abounds with passion and great independence, Martha Argerich has always done her utmost to champion and support young talents, her efforts culminating in the creation of the International Piano in Buenos Aires in 1999, followed by the Martha Argerich Project in Lugano in 2002.

She is also deeply committed to performing Jewish music, which will be given pride of place this weekend. It is in this spirit that we present the 2023 edition of Martha Argerich’s Coups de Cœur in Chantilly.

This event will also feature something of a family reunion on stage: Miss Argerich’s two grandsons, David Chen and Roman Blagojevic (piano), as well as her daughters Lyda Chen (viola) and Annie Dutoit (narrator) gathered together for the first time in a performance of Carnival of the Animals that promises to be memorable moment of familial communion and musical intensity.
